The Avon 3 in 1 digital pen shaped camera is a versatile accessory that is perfect for capturing memories on-the-go. With a compact and stylish design, this camera is perfect for those who love to travel or simply want to have a convenient way to take pictures.
The Avon Digi Camera measures about 1” wide x 5” long. I imagine Avon considered this design to be ‘pen shaped’. The camera features a built-in viewfinder.
The camera connects to your computer to transfer photos via its USB connector cord. I find it interesting that this cable has a USB Type A connector at each end. It has been my experience that most other cameras usually sport a USB Type A connector on one end, and a proprietary camera branded connector on the other.
The instruction sheet yielded some interesting facts:
The camera software is compatible with Windows 98 / 2000 / XP (which was first released in 1998)
The camera has a 100,000 pixel capability
The camera will power down after 30 seconds of non-use
If the power is cut, the memory will be erased
Remember, when this camera came to market some 25 years ago, it was considered high tech!
The kit contains a Mini Digital Camera Driver Disk. Besides the drivers, the disk contains Arcsoft Photo Impression 4.0 photo editing software, Arcsoft Videoimpression 1.6 video editing software, and PCCAM software, used to communicate with smart cards.
