instax mini film pack

One benefit of collecting for many years is you develop an interlocking support group. One of my support group is a local man we shall call “Ralph”. Ralph seems to come across derelict photography equipment. He is always a bit vague were this stuff comes from. To be blunt some of it—from its condition—seems to be from the dashboards of abandoned cars.

Anyway one morning I was sitting in my jammies when I got a phone call from someone I didn’t recognize. Much to my horror it turned out he was both mobile in his truck and crossing an intersection one block from my home. He simply said he had a film for me.

I hung up and ran to get dressed. I was just in time to answer a second call from my driveway, asking if he was in the right place.

By this time I could tell it was Ralph. He proudly handed over this instax mini film pack. We got to chat a minute or two before he fired out the door, on to his next adventure.

I was left with a sealed package holding ten credit-card size films. It was to be used before 09/2018.

I scanned the package for your reference. I probably have the camera it requires around here somewhere but outdated as it is and not having anything that requires its use I will probably add it to my collection of films.

I also have to get up and get dressed faster in case these events come in clusters!
