Having been a technical writer, I have an attraction to instructions. Incidentally this has been changed recently when I finally read “Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance” which rocked my whole world.
If you haven’t read it, do so!
Anyway I was given two instruction books. I decided to pass them on. This is the first on a Kodak camera.
Notice—
how many things that appear obvious need explanation
how information sometimes has illustrations to make it clearer
having to cover all lighting conditions so results are insured
how much can go wrong
This was one aspect of the Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance book. All instruction books and technical manuals give the impression there is one correct way to do things, yet there are probably many ways to do most things.
