Nikon Coolpix 775

This 2001 Nikon Coolpix 775 came in a Targus case with its battery, charger, patch cord and a CompactFlash card. Collected last year (2022) it cost $5. It is only a 2.1 Mega Pixel camera with a 3x zoom. A 2.1 M image was supposed to make 8x10 prints possible. Introduced in 2001, it was the first camera to have “One-Touch” connection to the Web (or desktop).

One feature you wouldn’t be expected to know is the camera would display the image you have just captured as only ¼ of its screen so you could keep a constant eye on your subject. When you see the size of the screen you must wonder how that worked in practice! Besides, it still has an optical viewfinder.
